Fits Smart Tailoring, operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd, is responsible for the personal information collected through our contact form, online fitting process, studio fittings and related customer communication. We process information for made-to-measure shirts and suits, wardrobe planning, corporate orders, repeat orders and courier arrangements for clients across South Africa.
Our team only uses personal information for legitimate business purposes linked to your enquiry, fitting, order management and after-sales support. Access is limited to staff who need the information to do their work, including our studio, cutting, production and client service personnel.
What information we collect
We collect the information needed to provide a proper fit and manage your order. This may include contact details, measurement details, style preferences, garment sizes, delivery information and notes from consultations or fittings. Where relevant, we also keep records of fabric choices, alteration requests and previous orders for future reference.
- Names and contact details submitted through the contact form
- Measurements, fit notes and style preferences
- Delivery and collection details for courier or studio handover
- Communication records, order notes and payment references
- Information needed for corporate or group tailoring requests
We do not ask for more information than is reasonably required to provide tailoring services. If you choose not to share the details needed for fitting or delivery, we may not be able to complete your order properly.
Why we use personal information
We process personal information to respond to enquiries, confirm fittings, prepare patterns, cut and make garments, arrange delivery and manage repeat orders. We also use your information to provide style advice, handle alterations and keep a record of previous measurements so that future garments can be prepared more accurately.
- To respond to contact form submissions
- To arrange online or studio fittings
- To produce shirts, suits and related tailoring orders
- To manage courier delivery across South Africa
- To keep customer records for repeat work and alteration refinement
Where required by law, we may also use information for accounting, record keeping, dispute resolution and compliance with lawful requests.
Sharing information and service providers
We only share personal information where it is necessary to provide our service or comply with legal obligations. This may include trusted third parties who assist with payment processing, courier delivery, secure data storage or business administration. These parties are required to handle your information responsibly and only for the purpose for which it was provided.
We do not sell personal information. We also do not use customer details for unrelated marketing unless you have given permission or there is another lawful basis to do so. If your order involves delivery to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town or another area nationwide, the relevant delivery details will be shared with the courier partner needed to complete the handover.
Storage, security and retention
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse and alteration. Access controls, secure records and internal handling procedures are used to reduce risk. While no system is completely free of risk, we aim to keep your information safe and properly managed.
We retain information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. For tailoring customers, this may include keeping measurement records and order history for future repeat garments and fit adjustments. When information is no longer required, it is securely deleted or archived in line with our records practices.
