Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the Fits Smart Tailoring website and any enquiry, fitting or order submitted through it. By using the site, you agree to these terms and to the way we handle custom tailoring requests, fittings and delivery arrangements.

1. Using the Website and Sending Enquiries

This website is operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd on behalf of Fits Smart Tailoring. The site is intended for customers in South Africa who want to enquire about made-to-measure shirts and suits, studio fittings, online fittings, fabric selection and related tailoring services.

You may use the site to submit an enquiry through the contact page, request a consultation, or ask for information about sizing, style options and courier delivery. You agree not to misuse the site, submit false details, or use any automated system to copy content or interfere with the enquiry process.

  • Use the site for lawful personal or business purposes only.
  • Provide accurate contact and fitting information.
  • Do not attempt unauthorised access to any part of the website or enquiry system.

2. Made-to-Measure Services and Fit Responsibility

Fits Smart Tailoring offers made-to-measure shirts and suits through online fitting, studio fitting and style consultation. Every garment is produced according to the measurements, preferences and approvals supplied by the client. Because custom clothing is made for one person only, final fit depends on the accuracy of the information provided and any fitting notes agreed during the process.

Minor variation can occur between fabric batches, cut profiles and finishing methods. This is normal in tailoring and may affect drape, structure or hand feel. We aim to keep measurements consistent, but natural fabric behaviour and body changes between fitting and delivery can influence the final result.

  • Clients should review all style and measurement details before approval.
  • Any changes after approval may affect cost, timing and fit.
  • We may recommend alterations refinement where needed for a better result.

3. Orders, Payments and Production Timing

Once an order is confirmed, production begins after the required measurements, style choices and fabric selections have been received. Quotes are based on the selected service, garment type, fabric choice, customisation level and delivery requirements. Unless stated otherwise, all prices are in South African Rand.

Production timelines depend on workload, fabric availability and the complexity of the garment. Wedding tailoring, corporate orders and repeat orders may require different lead times. If a delay arises because of stock issues, load-shedding interruptions, courier delays or missing client approvals, we will keep the client informed and adjust the schedule where practical.

  • Payment terms, deposits and balances are communicated before production starts.
  • Orders are only secured once the required payment or approval has been received.
  • Express requests are subject to capacity and may not always be available.

4. Studio Visits, Online Fittings and Courier Delivery

Clients may book studio fittings in Rosebank and other areas served by our fitting and delivery process, including Sandton, Pretoria, Midrand, Randburg, Durban, Cape Town and nationwide delivery. When attending a studio fitting, clients should arrive on time and follow any instructions given by the studio team.

For online fittings, the client is responsible for submitting clear measurements, images or other requested details in the format provided. Courier delivery is arranged to the delivery address supplied by the client. Delivery times are estimates only and can be affected by regional routing, weather, road conditions or courier network delays.

  • Clients must check delivery details carefully before confirming an order.
  • Risk for delivery passes according to the courier process selected and confirmed.
  • If a parcel is returned due to an incorrect address or no one available to receive it, extra charges may apply.

5. Fabric, Customisation and Garment Care

Fabric selection, shirt customisation, suit customisation and wardrobe planning are guided by the client brief, intended use and available materials. Colours, textures and finishing details may appear differently on screen compared with the finished garment. This is especially relevant where lighting, monitor settings or indoor studio lighting affect visual reference.

Clients should follow the care instructions supplied with the garment. Incorrect washing, pressing or storage may damage the fabric or reduce the life of the garment. Coastal humidity in places such as Durban and seasonal heat in other regions can also affect how suits and shirts should be stored between wearings.

  • Dry cleaning or specialist care may be recommended for some garments.
  • Do not alter, trim or repair a garment before contacting us if there is a concern.
  • Fabric availability may change without notice, so a requested cloth may need substitution.
